Commencing operations in 2009, JetBird will become Europe’s first true low cost air-taxi operator, offering a private jet experience at up to 50% less than current branded operators. With aircraft based at a number of demand centres around Europe, JetBird will offer on-demand private jet charter at a price that offers true value for money, thus making private jet travel affordable for middle and senior level executives and the mass affluent.
The Phenom 100 is by far the best aircraft in its class in terms of aircraft performance, cabin and luggage space, operating economics, maintenance support and residual value. The Phenom 100 has the tallest, longest and widest cabin of any of the VLJ aircraft already in production. It even has a lavatory separated from the main cabin. The cockpit is designed by BMW Designworks and includes the most advanced avionics in its class which will reduce pilot’s workload considerably and increase safety. The engines are manufactured by Pratt & Whitney Canada. JetBird will purchase up to 100 Embraer Phenom 100 aircraft.
